Arkansas Employment Reaches Record High as Northwest Arkansas Ranks Among Nation's Best for Job Growth

Arkansas employers added more workers in June as the state's unemployment rate fell to 4.1% and both employment and labor force participation reached record highs. Northwest Arkansas continued to stand out nationally, with the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers metro ranking third in the nation for year-over-year nonfarm job growth. State officials said Arkansas now has more than 23,000 additional employed residents compared to a year ago.
